Snoop Dogg is the new owner of Death Row Records
Snoop Dogg officially owns Death Row Records, he acquired the iconic record company from the Blackstone-controlled company MNRK Music Group.
We know the history of Death Row, and it makes a lot of sense that Snoop Dogg now owns it. Snoop Dogg started his career with this label. It was originally founded by Suge Night, Dr.Dre, The D.O.C., and Dick Griffey in 1991. Through Death Row, many West Coast Rappers that we still love and know today were discovered and signed through them.
It will be interesting to see what direction Snoop takes Death Row Records, he already has dove into the NFT space and THE DROP actually owns an NFT from Death Row Records. Although Death Row is a legacy record label, through Snoop we can infer that he will continue to push Death Row Records forward into new innovative ways.
